I have always been against this unwanted and unneeded roundabout in our community, which is why I have lobbied to have this project killed.

Despite the East End being in desperate need of major infrastructure investments, this roundabout is nothing but a safety hazard for our residents that will cost us millions of dollars. To make matters worse, City Hall will now spend nearly almost a million dollars more than planned prior to construction even commencing.

A busy Orleans intersection is gearing up for what some call a traffic makeover -- a two-lane roundabout. Others say it's an unneccessary facelift.

Cumberland Candidate Stephen Blais has called on Orléans MP, Royal Galipeau to scrap the $2.5 million federal funding for the St Joseph/Jeanne d'Arc Roundabout.

“The east end is in desperate needs of major infrastructure investments, but this roundabout is nothing but a safety hazard for our residents,” says Blais. “This $2.5 million can be invested in community projects that will improve our quality of life rather than waste taxpayers money with dangerous consequences.”
